MisterEtec is an Indian online marketplace where independent, verified sellers list everyday products across categories, operated by Deepak Kumar Mishra, a sole proprietorship trading as MisterEtec, with its corporate office in New Delhi. This page explains exactly how we protect your money, your data and your order — and how to recognise a fraud attempt made in our name.

1. A secure connection on every page

• The whole of misteretec.com is served over HTTPS with SSL/TLS encryption. Look for the padlock in your browser's address bar and confirm the domain reads exactly misteretec.com.
• Session cookies used for login and cart are encrypted and expire automatically.

2. How your payment is protected

• Online payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Card and UPI credentials are entered on the gateway's secure page.
• MisterETec never stores your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password or OTP. Card tokenisation, where used, is handled by the gateway and the card networks under RBI guidelines.
• Every card payment uses the RBI-mandated additional factor of authentication (OTP / 3-D Secure); every UPI payment needs your UPI PIN.

3. How we protect your personal data

• We collect only what is needed to create your account, deliver your order, issue an invoice and provide support.
• Data is shared with a limited set of partners for a specific purpose — the payment gateway to take payment, logistics partners such as Delhivery to deliver, and the seller of your item to fulfil and invoice it.
• We do not sell your personal data. Full details, including your rights and our retention periods, are in our Privacy Policy.

4. Order and delivery safety

• Orders are packed to our published Packaging Guidelines — tamper-evident or sealed outer packaging, cushioned inner protection, and a readable label.
• Every parcel contains a GST tax invoice identifying the seller of the item.
• Please check that the outer packaging is intact before accepting a delivery. If it is open, wet, crushed or resealed, refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted it, tell us within 48 hours.

5. If something is wrong with your order

Wrong item, missing item, damaged item or a product not as described is returnable at our cost within the window published for that category. Return shipping on eligible returns is free and there is no restocking fee. See the Cancellation & Returns Policy for windows, non-returnable categories and refund timelines. Eligible buyers are additionally covered by the Buyer Protection Program described in our Terms of Use.

6. Keeping your account secure

• Use a unique password for MisterETec and never reuse a banking password.
• Never share your password or an OTP with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from MisterETec.
• Sign out on shared or public devices, and review "My Orders" regularly.
• Keep your registered mobile number and email up to date — they are how we verify you.

7. Recognising fraud done in our name

These are things MisterETec will never do. If any of them happens, it is a fraud attempt:

• Ask for your OTP, CVV, card PIN, UPI PIN or password — over call, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
• Ask you to install a screen-sharing or remote-access app (AnyDesk, TeamViewer and similar) to process a refund.
• Ask you to scan a QR code or approve a UPI "collect" request to receive a refund. A genuine refund never needs your approval or PIN.
• Ask you to pay to any personal UPI ID, personal bank account or wallet number.
• Ask for money to release a "prize", "lucky draw", "lottery" or "gift" from MisterETec.
• Contact you from a personal email address. Our only support address is support@misteretec.com and our only support number is +91 92208 75551.

If you receive anything like this, do not act on it — report it to support@misteretec.com with a screenshot and the number it came from. If you have already lost money, also report it on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or call 1930.

8. Report a problem

To report a suspicious listing, a counterfeit product, a security issue with the website, or a fraud attempt in our name, write to support@misteretec.com with as much detail as you can. Security reports are acknowledged within 48 hours.
