Packaging Guidelines

Correct packaging protects customers, sellers, riders, and delivery partners. These guidelines apply to every Standard and Express Delivery order fulfilled through MisterETec.

1. Choose the right outer packaging

• Use a new, rigid corrugated box appropriate for the product's size and weight.
• Do not use torn, wet, crushed, previously labelled, or structurally weak boxes.
• Use tamper-evident courier bags only for non-fragile items that cannot be damaged by pressure.
• Remove or fully cover every old barcode, address label, and hazardous-goods mark.

2. Protect the product inside

• Wrap each item separately and leave cushioning on every side.
• Fill empty space so the product cannot move when the parcel is gently shaken.
• Use bubble wrap, air pillows, foam, edge guards, or corrugated inserts suitable for the item.
• Keep accessories, cables, manuals, and free items together in a sealed inner pouch.

3. Category-specific requirements

• Electronics: switch devices off, protect screens and ports, and use anti-static protection where required.
• Fragile products: use double-wall boxes, reinforced corners, and visible fragile handling labels.
• Liquids: seal the cap, place the container in a leak-proof bag, add absorbent material, and keep it upright.
• Sharp items: cover every sharp edge with rigid protection so it cannot pierce the package.
• Apparel: fold, protect from moisture, and seal inside an inner bag before using the outer package.

4. Seal and label correctly

• Use strong pressure-sensitive packing tape on every opening and seam.
• Place the shipping label on the largest flat surface without folding over an edge.
• Keep the barcode clear, flat, and readable. Do not cover it with opaque tape.
• Include the correct invoice or documents required for the product and destination.

5. Delivery handover

The parcel must be fully packed, labelled, and ready before the scheduled pickup. Verify the pickup reference before handover. Never hand over an open parcel or ask the delivery executive to pack the product.

6. Evidence and rejected parcels

Sellers should retain clear photographs of the product, serial number where applicable, inner protection, sealed package, and final label. MisterETec or the delivery partner may reject unsafe, leaking, prohibited, incorrectly labelled, or inadequately packed parcels.
